question

Hello, I brought my Laptop (Inspiron 6000) to be more precise about 2 1/2 years ago.  I reformated it and now it doesn't have the drivers for the Video or network card.  I have downloaded probably about 15 different drivers for each off the dell site and none of them are working.  Well First let me ask this, how can I tell what kind of cards I have?  I know that would make a big difference in my search.  I know it isn't the standard cards because before I bought It I changed out a bunch of the hardware.

 

I have another question as well,  My Dvd-rom bit it awhile back and I bought a DVD RW rom for a replacement.  It is only showing up as a CD-rom drive what could be causing this?
