"Dell Audio has stopped working" alert at login

While upgrading a Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop running Dell Audio - Cirrus Logic driver, a popup appears as soon as anyone logs in saying "Dell Audio has stopped working."  The file generating the alert is CirrusAudioPanel_Dell.exe.  However, the audio is actually working on this laptop.

Users are logging in to Windows 8/8.1 with administrator-level accounts.  Uninstalling the audio driver and reinstalling with the latest version did not resolve the problem.

However, when I logged in as the Local Administrator, the alert did not appear.

I found the .EXE file on the hard drive, changed the properties to "Always run as administrator" and then logged in as the user, and the alert did not appear.

Problem solved.  The file apparently needs to run with administrator status, and it does not install correctly.  This has been reported to Dell Tech Support.
