"Natural" scrolling direction using the touchpad: Inspiron 7520
Is it possible to reverse the scrolling direction for two-finger gestures using the touchpad in Inspiron 7520, Windows 7? In OS X Mountain Lion, this reversed direction is called "natural" scrolling. I just get confused because my Dell and my Macbook Pro scroll up/down very differently. Thanks!!

Hi protonic,
The Touchpad settings can be configured in the Pointing Devices window:
Click on Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound and then double click Dell Touch pad to open application. This application has the option to configure sensitivity, button, Scroll and Zoom and gestures.
However there is no option to set the touch pad scrolling settings to move in the opposite direction.

The following post solved the issue on my laptop (Dell Precision M4800). It was an easy fix, now i'm in scrolling heaven..

Will this option to switch directions of the touch pad scrolling be in a future release? I also switch between the platforms and it makes working on this laptop very cumbersome.

Hi protonic,
This is a hardware specific functionality and I doubt if any changes could be made.

This is not really true as the 'natural' scrolling works fine on Ubuntu. It's purely software and it is a matter of simply reversing the scroll direction. As somebody used with OSX, tablets and... Ubuntu, I think this would be very useful.
