I recently formatted the hard drive of my Dell Inspiron 1000, and upgraded to a fairly old version of Windows XP Pro (Version 2002). As i had formatted my hard drive, i had lost the privelege of having USB 2.0 ports, and now have to use USB 1 instead. I downloaded the " Dell Notebook System Software" driver, as i believe this is the driver that includes the USB 2.0 upgrade. Is this the correct driver to upgrade my USB ports?

 

However, when i tried to install the driver, i got the error message, "This computer does not support this operating system". Not only does this message make no sense, but i also have no idea how to fix it.

 

Has anybody else had this problem? If not, have you any idea how i can upgrade to USB 2.0?
