"load needed DLLs for kernel."

Hey all, any help would be great! About a week ago my laptop crashed, its an inspiron 6000. windows wouldnt boot so i tried a repair, no luck. tried to reinstall, no luck. i formatted the HDD and tried to install a fresh copy of windows again and now i get this message "load needed DLLs for kernel." i am using the dell recovery cd but i dont know if its the one that came with my laptop or with my dads pc. the pc is older than the laptop, i dont know if that has to do with anything but i really need to get my laptop back up and running for school so any help would be incredibly helpful!!
