recording with audacity
Hi, I'm new to this site, and I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on a problem I'm having. I recently downloaded audacity. I have RCA connectors from my tape out on my receiver to the line in jack on my laptop to record from different sources ( radio, phono, tv) which seems to work, except there is a noticeable signal loss when i plug in into the line in jack on the laptop. Can anyone explain the signal loss? Thank you.

Hello. You might need to adjust the gain in the Sound properties of the laptop.
If you need more help please give the full model name of your laptop and the operating system you use.
