standard vga graphics adapter shows code 10 (can not start)

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron N5110 with i5 processor. When I installed the OS and drivers all seem fine except one Standard VGA Adapter which shows a Code 10 error stating that it can not start. This problem has greatly compromised the graphics display in the laptop. How do I fix this issue?

Hi adhikari.anurag,

Welcome to the Community,

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling that driver?

After reinstalling OS did you install the drivers in the correct order as given in the link below:

support.dell.com/.../document

If you've made any changes in the BIOS settings, try restoring it to default and see if that helps.

To check further accept my friend request, click on my user name, click start conversation  and message me your system service tag number.

Thank You

Is it necessary to install the drivers in the correct order?

I installed all the other drivers but not in that order. The only problem left is that standard VGA adapter code 10.

What should i do?

You need to install Dell System Software before all other drivers.

Are you installing Windows 7.

Try uninstalling the video driver in device manager.

Then install Dell System Software in System Utilities

Then try to install the video driver.
