could you send me the driver as well? i've been round and round with dell tech support and nobody seems to know that a driver exists for this.

Bill,

Do you still have access to the standalone driver?  I am the same issues on a E6400 with my DOD Common Access Card.

Thank you this worked out with a card reader i was having issues with for a user. The usb generic one didn't work but i noticed if i plugged in a external card reader that it would install with a microsoft  generic driver. I used that for the broadcom internal one and it work right after restart. Thanks for the help.
