v13 - no sound from right side of laptop...
Hi there,
Does anyone know if there is suppose to be a speaker on the right side of the laptop?
Just got my v13 today. When I play audio, I can only hear sound out of the left side of the machine. Even when I test the speaker left & right separatly, sound comes out of only the left side of the laptop regardless of whether I choose left or right speaker.
When I plug in with headphones, I hear stereo on the headphones.
Have already run pre-boot system assessment's audio test & have the same problem.
Left & right side sound test comes thru the left side of the laptop only...
is there a speaker on the right side for this machine? is the speaker not hooked up probably & need replacement?...

I don't know which side it is on but the Vostro V13 does have one speaker. You can find that and other info in the V13 Service Manual<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell> under the 'specifications' section.

thank you... that is odd, never come across a "mono" speaker laptop before...
went thru dell chat support, supposedly the agent checked to see if this was normal but proceeded to do the depot dispatch for me.
Guess I can cancel that depot dispatch then.
