You may try the following steps.

Uninstall Dell Quickset application and 'Dell Support Center' from Control Panel:

1. Press and hold the Windows key and press ‘R’ key to open run window
2. Type 'appwiz.cpl', click 'Ok'
3. On the new window, click ‘Dell Quickset’ and 'Dell Support Center' (if available) highlight it.
4. Click Uninstall/Change at the top
5. Follow through the prompts in order to remove the software.
6. Restart the computer.

Now, download and install Dell Quickset from the following link http://dell.to/112UrAc and Dell Support Center from http://dell.to/RS19Iy

thankyou for the reply.Unfortunately this did not solve the issue. During the download process,a support center window appears and says the program has stopped working. the download does not complete.I have tried with or without the Quickset install. No difference.Details show APPCRASH etc.Spent some time on the phone with Dell Support with no luck after taking control of the system. Case#<ADMIN NOTE: Case no. removed per privacy policy>
