vostro 1500 battery problem

The current battery I'm using is the second battery that bought about 10 months ago. It was working fine until last few days. I found that the system (including dell QuickSet) shows it is fully charged, and its heath/performance is normal. However, once  I unplug the laptop AC, the laptop straight away turn off, because it couldn't get power from the battery. I try to check the battery light, but I just remember that I have never confirm whether the LED lights are working or not since I bought this replacement battery.   I have one more replacement battery that never used, but bought a month ago. When I plug this battery into the laptop, both bios and OS showed no battery installed. So, I'm suspect this might due to some battery connector problem. But I could not figure it out. The only problem is that my warranty is expired... I have remembered I request the extend warranty for once, but I never received the email though.

I am having the same issue. While my Vostro 1710 is plugged in, the battery is showing fully charged. When I unplug the AC adaptor, the battery immediately shows empty and the laptop goes to shut down. when I plug the cord back in, the battery status shows charging for about 30 seconds then says fully charged.

Laptop was purchased in September of 2009 and the battery has not been replaced.

Any help would be appreciated!

Anybody can answer it? I'm still concerned about it, It's long time.
