where can you get old bios updates

Is there an archive anywhere? i need the A04 bios to upgrade to A22, but dell does't have the A04 anywhere on the site anymore... kind of messes up all us that have an older version then A04... since we cant upgrade to it first which you have to have to move to A22..... so we can get to A23.....

What notebook are you trying to update?  Maybe we can help you, but it's tough to do without the model number.

Click HERE to access the Inspiron 5100 BIOS downloads.  And as you have said, the older versions, with the exception of A22, are not available.  I looked on Dell's FTP site and I didn't see BIOS Version A06 (I51_11A06.exe) either.  It seems that they have pulled those versions.

You can go to my site and get a ISO file of version A06.  Just burn it to a CD and then boot from the CD.  It will get you to Version A06.

http://www.bay-wolf.com/flashbios.htm
It is labeled "Inspiron 1100/5100 System BIOS, A06".
