I don't think it's your router. 
I have the Inspiron 17 7000 series. And a Netgear modem and router.
I've had this POS for about 4 months and the *** Intel Dual band 7260, which is built in this POS, drops the signal and I have to use the WIndows (POS) command processor to reconnect. All the drivers are update, but yet crashes.
I think it's your laptop.
