15'4" Widescreen Screen Resolution

I have a Dell D810 laptop with a WSXGA LCD. Screen resolution is 1680x1050. If I use those settings with my Bellsouth internet provider I only have half of the screen visible. I have to adjust my resoultion to 800x600 to fill the screen.

Anyone have a solution for this matter? Thanks

Download and install the driver update R104771.EXE from Dell Support.
ATI Mobility Radeon X600, MobilityRadeon X300, Mobility FireGL V3100, v.8.131.1.2-050706a-025030C, A04
Release Date: 08/01/2005
Description: General purpose driver update for Latitude D610 and D810 using ATI Mobility Radeon X300, Latitude D810 using ATI Mobility Radeon X600 and Precision M20 using ATI Mobility FireGL V3100 Graphics for Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

My D810 has Radeon x600 with WSXGA LCD running 1680x1050. The display is beautiful except for some weird rendering of web pages in Internet Explorer.

I have done that update and still have the same problem half the screen. Dell tells me thats the way it is. I am shocked.

Hi,

this is definitely NOT the way it should be! The screen has to be filled at that resolution. I'm 100% sure because I also have a D810 with WSXGA. Dell probably didn't understand your problem and you'll probably have to contact them again.

Regards,
Tom

Your screen is full when you are on the internet?
