BIOS Update Fail. . .please help

I have a Studio XPS 1645 in which I replaced the Motherboard.  Everything worked.  Then I tried to update the BIOS.  I get the following error:

"BIOS update failed! Image verification failed. Error code -200

My keyboard is frozen and my power button is inactive.  I did noticed that when I plug in a thumbdrive that windows in the background did ask me what I wanted to do with the thumbdrive.

What should I do?

Update. . .I pulled out the battery and restarted (shut down and turned on again) my computer.  First I tried to go to setup by pushing F2 but I couldn't get there.

I restarted (shut down and turned on) again and it asked if I wanted to go to safe mode.  It did boot up in safe mode.  Then I shut down and restarted (shut down and turned on) again.  This time it did a chkdsk.  It passed.

Then I restarted (shut down and turned on) again and it went to windows normally.  I rebooted (shut down and turned on) again hoping to get to the setup screen (F2).  I could not.

I ran MSINFO32 to check what BIOS I am running.  It says A13 which is what I tried to load.

What should I do?  Should I try to reload BIOS update A13?  Should I go to a lower BIOS?  Should I do nothing?

Update #2:  When I do a restart (instead of shut down and then turn back on), I can get to the BIOS screen.

The BIOS screen does show that I have A13 installed.  But I still wonder if it is working properly.

Should I try a reinstall of the BIOS?

If it continues to work OK, don't try the BIOS again. BIOS updates are not needed for most computers, and the risk can be great. What OS are you using?

I'm running Windows 7 Pro.

It does appear to be working.  The only reason I did a BIOS update was because I had to replace the MB (graphics chip went bad).  I thought I might as well update the BIOS while at it.

It is working fine now.  It turns on, I can get to the BIOS screen now by hitting F2.
