Dell Inspiron N7010 64-bit Problems
Hello,
I have some problems with my drivers, my screen, my network, simply most things on my laptop.
The story:
The computer was full of stuff that doesn't have to be on it, so i decided to clean it.
I put in the operating system CD-Rom, i did custom settings at windows, so clean it all just windows delete all files.
My laptop was pretty much refreshed, i tried to search for my wireless network, it says: no network available, i'm not even able to find any network, it doesn't work with a cable, so i can use my network without wireless thingy.
I wached my Devices and Printers at start, and then i went to devices to the name of the computer.
Theres a ! sign in a yellow triangle at it, it has the same sign at the Ethernet driver or something, i already fixed that sign by downloading it and putting it on the laptop with a usb stick, but i cant find the other ones called:
PCI Simple Communications-controller: Hardware ID's
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3B64&SUBSYS_04571028&REV_06
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3B64&SUBSYS_04571028
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3B64&CC_078000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3B64&CC_0780
Networkcontroller:
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_00101028&REV_01
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_00101028
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&CC_0280
Maybe you can give me some things to fix these problems.
Maybe someone of you had the same problem before and can give me all advice, so i have a normal screen resolution with less pixels, before it was awesome but slow, now it's messed up....
I guess it's just missing almost every driver except the driver for windows itself.
With thanks in advance for your kind attention,
P.S. I'm Dutch so if you are dutch i would prever it if you'd write it in dutch.

Hi,
If you use the Drivers and Utilities disc that came with the computer, you will have Check mark next to the Drivers that are applicable to your system. Start off by installing the Drivers in the below Order:
Notebook System Software: www.dell.com/.../inspiron-17-n7010
Chipset: www.dell.com/.../inspiron-17-n7010
Video: www.dell.com/.../inspiron-17-n7010
Audio: www.dell.com/.../inspiron-17-n7010
Card Reader:www.dell.com/.../inspiron-17-n7010
Touchpad: www.dell.com/.../inspiron-17-n7010
Wireless:www.dell.com/.../inspiron-17-n7010
Network:www.dell.com/.../inspiron-17-n7010
You can install the other Applications from the Support Site.
Thank you.

Thanks already :)

I used your links, the problem starts with the first file called:
DELL_SYSTEM-SOFTWARE_A01R26074
It says: This self extracting zip file is part of a multidisk zip file. Please insert the last disk of the set.
The second file of notebook systems too called:
DSS_UTIL_WIN_R26074
It gives an error called:
DSS_UTIL_WIN_R26074.exe is not a valid Win-32 Execute(toepassing in Dutch)
What am i supposed to do right now?
Thanks already

Have you tried using the drivers and utilities disc that came with the computer?

I used my disc now, i searched for the notebook system software, called on the website: DELL_SYSTEM-SOFTWARE_A01_R260746.exe
So I guess thats the same as on the disk called:
Intel Rapid storage technology Rev: A01
I thought so because it has A01 in its file name,
The disc says its already installed because it has a check in front of it.
So... What now?
Thanks for all your time though

Forget my post above,
I've used the drivers and utilities disc, there's no file called:
Notebook, so i can't start.
because i'm ruining the order of the files then.
Answer please.
Thanks in advance

The link for the Dell Notebook Software seemed to extract properly for me. I didn't get the same error as you maybe the download got corrupted.

Edit sorry I never meant to quote you Royan.
You are looking at the Service Tag and its not displaying all the necessary drivers e.g.. the chipset driver is missing this is something I've been complaining about for some time.

Hi,
Install the NSS software using this link: www.dell.com/.../inspiron-17-n7010
The others you install from the CD. If it has a check mark next to the driver it means that's that one that needs to be installed on the computer, so click on it and install.
Thank you.

Okay, this is what I did... I downloaded the ONE ethenet driver and used it to search for the rest of the drivers with that option when asked to update the driver. :)
Edit: I made an account just to answer this question. :)
