Dell Precision M4800 Factory Ubuntu Image ?

Long Story Short, Where can one Obtain the Factory Ubuntu Image for the M4800 ?

My M4800 Came Pre-installed with 12.04 LTS, and it ran great, but for some reason I decided to allow it to perform an "inplace" upgrade to the next LTS 14.04. After that numerous functions failed to work properly often requiring command line to launch applications and settings panes, clicking on the icons would not work. I would like to revert it back.

Dells Driver page for the computer only lists the Driver package ( which fails to install on a standard Ubuntu 12 install with the dell recovery and driver installers from the official repos, trying to install each driver .deb individually also tends to start throwing errors rather quickly)

i tried the image here  linux.dell.com/.../precise

however it simply fails to even complete booting, usually getting stuck after detecting the GPU.

I made a Recovery image when i received the computer, but so far have been unable to locate the thumb drive used.

If someone has a link to the disk image i would be grateful.

That looks to be the image.

12.04 is Precise Pangolin.

I am running it on my M6300. version 12.04.5 to be exact.

The Nvidia driver is problematic, so I keep the one that works instead of upgrading it.
