Dell Studio 1558 Max Ram Memory
Hi,
I have Dell Studio 1558 I7 4GB ram laptop.
I understand from searching in the web the that laptop max ram memory can be 8GB.
I just added 16GB(2x8GB) to my computer and the Bios, Windows and task manager recognizing the 16GB.
That means that Studio 1558 i7 support 16GB?

Hi Daniel,
The maximum memory tested on Dell Studio 1558 is 8GB from Dell. However you are running the system at your own risk. The more memory may damage the system board as its not supported.

Please explain how it can affect my computer?
should i use only 8GB RAM?

The maximum memory tested on Dell Studio 1558 is 8GB from Dell. Dell recommends you to use 8GB RAM on the system. The more memory may damage the system board as it’s not supported.
