Dell XPS L501X Missing Device Drivers according to Dell Support Centre "Base System Device"

Any help regarding where i can find these drivers. I have been on the Drivers and downloads site for my laptop but i dont know which ones it is that i'm missing. When i get more details about the missing drivers it says:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

Locations are as follows: PCI bus 7, device 0, function 0 ; PCI bus 7, device 0, function 3 ; PCI bus 7, device 0, function 4

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Hi Andrew,

Welcome to the Community. Did you just reinstall Windows on your laptop? If you have then check the below link on how to install the drivers in the correct order, or some devices may not work correctly.

support.dell.com/.../document

The PCI BUS looks like the Chipset driver is not installed. Use the below link to reinstall the Chipset Driver.

www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats

Hope this helps.

Thank you

Yes, I reinstalled a different version of windows but didn't reinstall the drivers in any particular order. I installed the Chipset driver you linked and it has fixed the problem, so much appreciated.

Thanks Royan

I have the same problem except in my case it's with windows 8.  Just reformatted with the new OS but Bluetooth is not working well (cuts off at random) and I can't find the base device drivers.
