Dell XPS L502X

My LCD has been having green lines across the upper left portion. It used to just a dot, but it expanded to about 6 inches now. I am planning to have the LCD replace but the only available LCD resolution near me is lower than 1980x1080. Can I have replace the LCD with a lower resolution? or is there still a way to fix the LCD?

Another, my speakers are broken already. Only the right front speaker is functioning. Is there a way to repair or replace the speakers?

Hi ECLPSUES,

Have you used an external monitor? Does the external monitor work fine?

Run the LCD bist - Turn off the system and press and hold the "D" key + power button to turn on the system and it should run the LCD built in self test - see this link for more info - http://dell.to/1SkXNrG

Restart the system and press f12 key on startup - choose diagnostics. Let it run the diags and if you encounter any errors - make a note of the complete error and report the same to us.

Also, restart the system and press f2 key to enter BIOS - check if the lines are seen in BIOS as well.

You could fix a lower resolution than FHD and it should still work on the machine.

Run a custom test on the speakers through Support Assist - http://dell.to/1NEc1Y4

The speakers will be replaced as a set - left and right and if required the subwoofer ( if applicable).

If there is no warranty, then you could contact our team to get a quote for a paid service call - http://dell.to/1vnT6CQ

Write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.
