Ethernet Controller & High Definition Audio Bus Modem Device
I recently wiped my laptop (Dell Latitude D830), and after reinstalling Windows XP Pro and installing all the required drivers, I am not able to find any driver for the Ethernet Controller and the High Definition Audio Bus Modem Device. I do not have the drivers and application disk (lost). Even though, it seems everything works perfect, but I do not like seeing a "?" in the Device Manager under "Other Devices". I have searched all over Dell website, reading forums looking for a possible solution, but it seems to me impossible. Could any expert help me? I will appreciate any help..

It seems that the Ethernet and Audio drivers are missing. You can download and install it from our Support Site. Here is the link http://dell.to/1c8HqOP.

I got the drivers and installed, but the problem still seems not solved. Now, I have a question mark "?" under "Other Devices" for Modem Device on the Bus High Definition Audio . I was searching for a driver all over the web and forums, but unable to find anything that help. What is the problem? Maybe the order I have installed all the drivers? Should I unistall something and reinstall it after doing anything else?

The modem device could be an actual modem OR it could be a WWAN card.
Easiest way to tell is to open it and see.

Solved. I installed Conexant D330,HDA,MDC,v.92,modem, v.7.68.0.0, A01
Conexant D330 HDA MDC WinXP/Win2K Modem Driver V.7.68.00.00 with satisfactory results.
All drivers collected and kept in safe conditions for future installations.
