Flashing Hacked BIOS

I've modifed a dell bios bin that I saved with Uniflash and would like to know the steps on how I would re-flash my inspiron 8200 with a hacked (custom) bios that I've create.. Like what utils to use and how to use them possibly... I learn quick and am in need of this info badly.. Uniflash won't re-flash with the hacked bios bin I've made cause it's coming back with varification errors. flash855.exe won't flash cause it can't find rom modules in the bin file... So I'm stuck on how to do this.. I've managed to so far save the bios to a image file and hex edit it yet not been able to re-flash the bios with the image file I've hex'd...

Please help me.

FYI:  IBM uses the Phoenix BIOS in both their desktop machines.  To flash the BIOS of IBM requires the use of either the 32-bit WinPhlash utility or the MS-DOS 16-bit utility.  I can't say if these utilities are compatible with the phoenix flashBIOS found in the I8200 though.

Ok I got the winphlash util yet am unable to use it. It requires a .ROM or .WPH file for it so if anyone has those files for a inspiron 8200 bios I'd be happy if someone could post a link or email it to me please.. Or maybe suggest another method.

Another option may be to purchase a replacement Latitude C840 system board as it may be cheaper than a refurbished I8200 CCA.  Essentially the two are the same with the only difference being the firmware which you could force flash using the /forcetype command switch.

If phlash is the same program that comes with the floppy version of the BIOS update (like the updates for I2650), this one always comes with an auxiliary file which contains initialisation options and parameters (ADYALL8A.BIN, in the case of an I2650). My idea is that you should donwload a floppy version update (if there is one) for your computer and use the auxiliary file found on the floppy disk after it was created.
