Quick update on this... I found it necessary to alter a setting in the Intel graphics menu to prevent a problem that showed only when booting or restarting when on battery. The problem appeared as a totally corrupt screen, on AC it was fine. 1) Goto control panel and open "Intel (R) Graphics and Media". 2) Select the advanced option (this gives all options) 3) Select "Power" menu. 5) Select "On Battery" from the dropdown. 4) Untick the "display refresh rate..." and "display power saving..." 5) Apply the settings And that's it... all seems good so far. (Dell.... you have a problem with the original graphics driver and Windows Live Photo Gallery) Further info for installing this driver. You can go to device manager and uninstall the old driver first. If you do this I would advise disconnecting from the internet first, because Windows tries to update it again before you can reboot. 1) Disconnect form interet. 2) Open device manager. 3) Goto "Display Adapters" and select the driver tab. 4) Uninstall and reboot as instructed. 5) Go back in to device manager as before and select "update driver" from the driver tab. 6) Currently, Windows has this driver available and it will install it automatically. http://1drv.ms/1fdPOIm http://1drv.ms/1ijOHi4 http://1drv.ms/1fdPWYq
