Help please with Dell Vostro 3350 PCI Simple Comm Controller driver

Hi all,

First time here and kindly ask for help regarding a driver issue for Dell Vostro 3350. My brand new lap came with free DOS and separately bought a W7 licence.

I have installed twice Widows 7 64 bit and all appropriate drivers from Dell website , in the indicated order (Dell Support) - everything is fine, but have one device reported as uninstalled in Device Manager: PCI Simple Communications Controller.

All components are working just fine but this problem is quite annoying.

Any help / suggestion will be very appreciated.

Thank you for your answer, Ieee, but there is no modem on this laptop - Dell Vostro 3350.

Finally I figure it out and solved the problem...

There was another missing driver, not listed on drivers listed on this laptop model page, R29219

Why does Dell not indicate all neccessary dirvers?

Have fun!

It's the dial-up modem. If you don't use it, ignore it.

Laggy, please try this link:

Same here, but short version url:

Sorry, misspelled driver number, it is R292194.

Hope it helps, unfortunatately the Vostro has gone to the client and have no access to it anymore.

You'll have to install also the direver/support page of the fingerprint reader producer and download the appropiate driver.

Have fun!
