INSPIRON 6400 Graphics Card Update Problem
INSPIRON 6400
Windows XP Home Edition
Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family
Current Driver: 6.14.10.4814
Driver Date: 30/03/2007
My problem is that this is the latest driver available from the dell driver update service, but not the latest driver available. And dell won't let me install the driver directly from the intel website, it gives the warning "A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues."
Is there anyway around the dell block on this?
As I really want to play minecraft.

Updating the Intel driver will not necessarily allow you to play games that will not run well with the existing driver. Most video driver updates involve fine tuning, although some will correct problems with games not working or having glitches. They WILL NOT increase the speed; speed depends on the video circuity and GPU.
