INSPIRON N5030 Battery failure
Hey everyone!
I have a Dell Inspiron N5030 which is a couple of years old. About a year ago it started to display the 'consider replacing your battery' alert, until one day it just stopped working. I purchased a replacement battery and just received it today, but when I tried turning the computer on the screen displayed a message saying 'unidentified battery' / 'this battery cannot be recharged'.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Katya,
We need to know if the new battery is compatible with the system so please provide me the PPID number for the battery. You can refer to the link below.

Also, please update the BIOS using the old battery in the link below.

Note: Connect the Ac Adapter before updating the BIOS and do not use the system until it restarts after the update.
