Inspiron 1525: Soundcard
Hi,
when configuring a Inspiron 1525 laptop I can choose whether I would like to have an integrated "Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Audio-Software" (Software...?). Is there no build-in soundchip in the default 1525 model? Is the Audigy considerably better (are the build-in speakers good enough for casually playing DVDs and listening to music?)?
Thanks!

That's just a software package that goes with the onboard sound.Skip it.Laptop speakers are notoriously bad, mainly because there is no bass unless you get the XPS 1710 or 1730 which have subwoofers..Good headphones or external speakers are needed for high quality music on most laptops.
