Inspiron 17R SE 7720: Memory Issues?

I put this in the General Hardware section since there are two issues, one with Video Memory and one with System Memory. Not sure if the ePSA is testing the GT 650m or the Intel HD 4000.

I recently installed the A13 version of the BIOS for the 17R SE and am now experiencing problems with two tests on the ePSA self assessment. The first problem involves the video card memory. During the test I receive the following error. Error Code 2000-0332. Video memory integrity test discrepancy, as well as an error during the XMATS32 test..

Lots of info below.

Moving further on in the self test the computer will suddenly reboot during the memory test, this happens during the XMATS32 Test at Block 3 of 8 @ around 28% I ran an ePSA right before I upgraded to A13 with no problems. I took a video but I will upload that later after I can be certain my service tag is hidden and I cut out the audio (my kids were screaming in the background).

I also ran memtest86+ for about 12 hours and completed 11 passes with no errors. I also used some other third party memory tests and every passes with no problems with one that also tested the video card and was just fine. In addition I tried one DIMM at a time in different slots with the exact same results, however the memory tests still fail.

Is the video card testing the GeForce GT650M or is it testing the Intel HD Graphics 4000? Which if there is a memory problem would explain the issues since the Intel HD Graphics use the system memory and not dedicated memory like the 650m. My next test is to take the memory out of my Inspiron One 2320 and put that in here and the memory from the 17R SE in there for more testing

I updated all of the drivers to the latest versions on the dell website and also did a factory restore of the system and reapplied all windows updates and dell updates after the restore. The computer is about one month hold and is perfectly clean and has never been dropped or anything like that. There are no problems during operation, I ran the dell support center GPU tests as well as some stress tests from some other more taxing programs. Everything worked fine. Could it be that the self test itself is broken?

I know I could probably have a tech come out to replace the motherboard but I would really like to fix this without resorting to that since the last time a tech came out to my house he couldn't put it back together correctly and the bezel was sticking out and it go scratched pretty bad, he also did not wear an anti static wrist strap and rested his forearm on the motherboard all the time (don't worry that was on my previous 17R SE that I got a refund for since the tech mangled it).

If anyone has any ideas I am all ears. If you need more info let me know. Please community I beseech you, we must not let this machine fall into the hands of a contracted tech!

If you made it this far thanks for taking the time to read this, and your support is appreciated!

My 17R SE Specs:

Core i5 3230m

GeForce GT 650m

1080p Display

8GB RAM - Hynix/Hyundai HMT351S6CFR8C-PB

System temps stay pretty cool ~45 deg Celcius @ Idle ~65-70 at load, GPU temp usually matches my CPU temps.

Update: I took the RAM out of my Inspiron One 2320 (6GB DDR3 1333) and placed that into my 17R SE. I took the ram out of the 17R SE and placed that into the Inspiron One 2320. I then conducted the ePSA tests on both machines and the 17R SE still failed even with the RAM from the 2320. The test using the 2320 with the 17R SE's RAM passes just fine. If there is no problem with the RAM this only leads me to believe two things. Either the motherboard has a problem (DIMM slot maybe?) or there is a problem with the ePSA test itself. I am leading toward the latter since every other test I have ran passes, to include a test that checks the memory seating.

Anyone have any opinions on the matter?

I just had another idea. Does anyone know if it is possible to put the diagnostics tool directly from my PC onto a USB Drive and run the test that way on a different computer. I want to see if the issue is with the diag tool or the hardware.

From the experience I know that this error is caused by faulty motherboard. And it will fix only after replacement.
