Inspiron 2650 Power connector

Hi i have a Inspiron 2650 and, recently ive been having problems with the power connector that hooks up to my laptop the wire that comes out of it is either broken or doesnt seem to be working properly as i have to squiggle the wire alot to get the laptop to charge, i kno its not the battery is there a way i can replace my charger? or does dell use different chargers now?

no im pretty sure its the AC power adapter.... the brick that charges the notebook....
 
i tried looking on Dells site for a replacement for the 2650 but i dont see them. all i see is 5160 8200... and so on does anyone kno if any of these or a different power adapter is compatible with my inspiron 2650?

If it's just the power supply, call Dell - a new one is not expensive ($30-40 or so).

If the problem is with the system board, that's a different (and far more expensive) story.

I believe the 2650 uses a different power supply. Call Dell and ask - use the part number on the one you have now.
