So what can i do? I have the same problem. I want to install windows 7 but the advisor says I need to upgrade the graphics adapter. I have a inspiron 600 m with a ATI 9000 adapter.
I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit on a Dell Inspiron 600M with upgraded 2GB RAM memory. Runs just fine with occasional crashes because Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit is memory intensive for just 2 GB RAM.
I still have the <ADMIN NOTE: Profanity removed as per TOU> ATI 9000 soldered to the motherboard-graphics adapter. Remember, always get the upgradeable, non-soldered GPU or graphics adapter. It's like marriage. You're stuck if you get the soldered one.
