Is there Bluetooth capabilities for Dell Precision M6400?
Hi,
I have a Dell Precision M6400 and I cannot find any settings regarding bluetooth, all I can see is the symbol next to the keyboard. Should I activate something? am I missing the drivers?

how to get bluetooth working (dell precision m6400_
Download bluetooth driver from the dell website. After that go to the download file, right click on the file and choose TROUBLESHOOT COMPATIBILITY.
tick the program worked in earlier version of windows, click next, then select windows vista, click next and next again to install the driver.
done.

There is the wireless switch located on the right side of the system. Switch it on, if it is already on, then enter the BIOS by starting the system while tapping F2. From the menu choose wireless, then wireless switch and make sure that Bluetooth is checked.
If it is listed on, then I would check the drivers in device manager. Click start, control panel, system and then device manager, and then network adapters. See if Bluetooth is mentioned.
If they aren't present then I suggest installing the driver from the following link. Look under network drivers.

If that still fails then suggest reseating the Bluetooth card. The following link from the service manual may be of help.

If after reseating and reinstalling the drivers and you find that it still doesn't work then the Bluetooth may be defective. Just consider that Bluetooth is not included by default typically so if you didn't order Bluetooth with the notebook you may not have it.

Did you order a bluetooth adapter with the system? It is an option - not standard (the icon for it will be there regardless of whether the card is present).
