Manufacture date

Question

Hello, Is there a way to determine the manufacture date of my Dell Latitude D600 laptop?  ...Maybe from the service code or something.  My company will only replace my laptop if it is older than 5 years or it is completely unfunctional.  I inherited this laptop from the prevous employee that I replaced so I don't know how long he had it. Thanks

Go to support.dell.com and enter the service tag.  It will tell you the date of manufacture.
