March 2005 Dell Magazine.

I just got the new Dell Magazine in yesterday and I'm looking into getting a Dell laptop computer, but their is a slight problem. The Magazine and Online features don't match. For example, in the magazine in the processor column, it's read Intel Centrino Mobile Technology for the one that I want  but on all of the notebooks on dell.com, they all read Intel Celeron for the Processor with no opinion to upgrade to Centrino. I'm confused.

What's the difference between the Inspiron 6000 & the Inspiron 6000d? The only two with colors options are the Inspiron 600m and the Inspiron 6000 so that's why I've narrowed it down to those two. This brings me to my next question. Why is their no color option online for these notebook like in the magazine? Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Start here for configuring it. The processor isn't a celeron oe colored but I  wouldn't get a celeron, I never checked the color.   http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=04&kc=6W300&l=en&oc=i6000dsapp&s=bsd

Maggie99635,

Thank you for your help but I'm still a bit confused. Why aren't the Intel Pentium M Processor and the color options available for the Home & Home Office version of the Inspiron 6000 like in the Small Business Inspiron 6000 notebooks? I don't get it.

I guess mine has small print  "Save $400 on select Inspiron 6000 notebooks through the Small Business division". This wouldn't have been in the

catalog. Maybe they are only selling the ones from your link for Home.

Why is the 600m model more money than the 6000 model? The Inspiron 6000 has better digital photography, digital video moviemaking/editing, gaming, and DVD moving viewing than the 600m model does. This is something else that I'm not understanding. To me, the 6000 model should be more money than the 600m notebook. Can someone please explain this to me.

Thanks.
