hi,

Have you tried Re-Installing Dell Quickset?...
If No Please do try doing so and let us know about it.
Do you have any idea, which service is doing this? please do identify the service.
(This can be done like as follows:
Step 1:Note down all the Services running (Before launching Media).
Step 2:Launch the Media
Step 3:try to locate any new service that has started.
Step 4:If any new service(s) has triggered do let us know about the same.
)
But Before trying out the above said steps, try once re-installing the Quickset.

Hey -

        I too am experience this exact problem.  Computer runs just perfect.  When you hit the volume buttons (up/down/mute), the computer locks up.  Cursor still moves, but you can't click on anything.  CTRL+ALT+DEL brings up task manager, and I can (through a process of clicking to which nothing happens, and CTRL+ALT+DEL'ing again,) get to the processes page.  However, nothing else works.  I did reinstall the quickset buttons, but to no avail.  Tried your advice to look for a new process or which process was trying to use more CPU cycles or commit more memory, but due to the freeze, I can't find anything that pops up.  There are no new processes, so I don't think it's that, but I don't know!  I just want my volume buttons back!!

Thanks in advance!
