Yes it is possible but it is not supported anymore. The 1150 supports IPX/SPX and Netware 3.X DOS ODI.

MS-DOS Operating Systems and PCMCIA

    If Card Services & Socket Services (CS&SS) is installed
    on your Notebook computer, first run the Network
    Installation program as supplied by the Network
    supplier.
    Then run the Install program (INSTALL.EXE) provided
    on this diskette. The Install program will take care
    of the WaveLAN Client Driver installation for MS-DOS
    and the specific WaveLAN parameters.

    If CS&SS is not available, install CS&SS first.
    As an alternative, you can also install the WaveLAN
    Enabler as described in the User's Guide.

4.1 MS-DOS Command Line Options for WaveLAN Client Driver

    The following command line options are available for
    the WaveLAN/PCMCIA client driver. This driver is
    installed in the CONFIG.SYS by the WaveLAN Installation
    program.

    Syntax:
    DEVICE=WAVECLI.EXE [/IRQ=X] [/PORT=XYZ] [/IBM]

    Switch      Meaning
    ------      -------
    /IRQ=X      Specifies the IRQ (hex value) to be used
                for the WaveLAN/PCMCIA card. This switch
                can be used if:
                *  the IRQ which is assigned automatically
                   by Card Services does not seem to work
                   on your machine, or
                *  you want the card to use a specific IRQ.

   /PORT=XYZ    Specifies the base address (hex value) of
                the I/O ports to be used for the
                WaveLAN/PCMCIA card.
                This switch can be used if:
  *  the PORT which is assigned automatically
                   by Card Services somehow does not seem
                   to work on your machine, or
                *  you want the card to use a specific PORT
                   XYZ should be a multiple of 8,
                   e.g. 300, 308, 310, 318 etc.

   /IBM         This switch may be needed with some versions
                of IBM Card and Socket Services.

   /F           This switch disables the resource
                reservation mechanism of the WaveLAN Client
                Driver.
                It can be used if your version of Card
                Services does not support the resource
                reservation function.
                You may have to use this switch if you
                have a very old version of Card Services.
                If used, you should also startup your
                machine with the WaveLAN card present.

   /V           This switch instructs the WaveLAN Client
                Driver to display informational messages
                to the screen.
                You are advised to use this command line
                parameter in in case you have a problem.
                we advise you to turn this switch on and
                record the messages displayed by the
                WaveLAN Client Driver.
                When you need to contact WaveLAN Technical
                Support, include the displayed messages with
                your request for assistance (for example
                on the Problem Report Form).
                This will help the WaveLAN Support Group
                in helping you!

Thanks for the advice.  They don't seem to have the CS&SS drivers, nor do they seem to have an ndis2 driver.  So what should I do now?

You didnt read and you do not understand.

If CS&SS is not available, install CS&SS first. Card Soft AND Socket services usually require that DOS AND Windows 3.1 are installed.This assumes that cardsoft has been installed in the C:\CARDSOFT directory.
Most Cardsoft Installers Assume you have WINDOWS 3.1 INSTALLED FIRST.

DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS
DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS X=D000-DFFF
DEVICE=C:\CARDSOFT\SSCIRRUS.EXE
DEVICE=C:\CARDSOFT\CS.EXE
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CARDSOFT\CSALLOC.EXE
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CARDSOFT\CARDID.EXE

As an alternative, you can also install the WaveLAN Enabler as described in the User's Guide

Dell does not support dos. Nor does microsoft anymore.
