Playing Video Games on Laptop???

I have heard that it is possible to play video games on a laptop.  I have many questions however in hopes of confirming it.  Is it possible on an Inspiron 6000?  What video games can you play, if any? PS2 games? XBox games? Gamecube?  I have heard that inorder to play these games, you must have a "laptop game control".  True?  Where could I find one? How much?  Much appreciation to anyone who can answer any if not all of these questions.  Thanks!

With the ATI X300, gaming in moderation is possible. With the integrated Intel 900 graphics, it still is, but at an even lower level.

I know what you are talking about.  There is alot here and some of the sites you will find may have viruses so scan everything you download and you will have a great experience once you find what you want.

For this you need an emulator and roms do a search they are everywhere in google
Emulator = emulates the gaming console but you have to find a controler you like.  some places sell a USB to console controler device, however they may not have the one you want.
Rom = The file that contains a game you want to play

One important thing newer consols are hard to emulate because it takes 2 to 10 times as much power to emulate a system as the origional system had.  And this is compounded by trying to emulate a 64 bit processor with a 32 bit processor on your computer.  (example Nintendo 64)
Since a PS2 is closer to a PC it may be easier to emulate so try it before you give up since a PS2 is more powerfull than a N64.

I can guarantee that the gamecube x-box360 and the new PS3 when it comes out will not be emulatable for several years and never on your currrent system.

There is much legal consideration to this lets just say that I told you not to download any roms that you don't own the games to.  (This is a short version of the same disclamer that will appear at the top of every page that contains game rom's and emulators)

That's pretty confusing.  Could you explain that using less technical terms?  Thanks!
