As suggested by ejn63, combining DDR3 and DDR3L would not be a good idea as they both work on different voltages.
As you have mentioned that you are in India and 4GB DDR3L memory module is not available, you may refer to the link below to check some options in case you want to go with a single 8GB DDR3L memory module.

Hi Kuldeep,
My system model is INSPIRON 15R 5521. It has DDR3L RAM only.
If i use DDR3 RAM, will that affect my system performance which in terms leading to further issues later?
Help me in upgrading the RAM as DDR3L is not available in INDIA.
Regards

Hi Saravanakanthan,
Inspiron 5521 system is shipped DDR3 1600 MHz RAM and not DDR3L.
I will request you to please check and confirm once again if the memory installed on the system is DDR3 or DDR3L.
You may take out the memory module from the system to check if it is DDR3 or DDR3L. The information would be mentioned on a sticker on the memory.
You may refer to the system manual for part removal. The link is: http://bit.ly/UB7A3C
In regards to compatibility, the DDR3L is backward compatible to DDR3.
Keep me posted with the information. I will be glad to assist you further.

If you have DDR3L and want to install DDR3, you'll need to replace both modules (don't mix the two - that won't work).
DDR3 will run hotter than DDR3L.
