Replacing/upgrading laptop screen

I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I ran into recently. I am replacing the screen on a e6500 laptop that had been cracked. The current model in the laptop is LTN154AT09 and while doing some research I came to the understanding that I should be able to put in a LP154WU2 or else known as HT009. It was the best deal I could find and thought upgrading would be nice. However two problems have arose. The first problem is that I guess the original LCD screen was a single ccfl and the new screen is dual ccfl. My question here is, is it possible to just swap out the inverter with a dual inverter for this screen? What if any extra pieces would I need to also swap out then?

This first question is simple enough but where I may have my largest (pun intended) issue is that the new screen is about a 1/4 of an inch taller (the screen size is the same the border around the screen seems thicker) although this model is said to work with the e6500. Is this a case where I can just replace the back panel and bezel to fit this new screen or is this a lost cause all together?

To return the screen is going to cost me my shipping both ways and a restocking fee, so spending extra to get a few parts is a preferable option. So in summery, can I upgrade the inverter to a dual CCFL inverter from the single I now have and is there a way to get this slightly bigger screen to work, either through replacing the back cover and bezel or such, with this computer.
