Touchscreen Multi-touch test in SupportAssist - Am I color blind?

I have a 15R 3521 running win 8.1 and have been experiencing some performance issues - youtubes won't load, google takes forever, touchpad seems sluggish and the keyboard lags some times.  All of that being what it is, I decided to start with the diagnostics.

When I run the touchscreen test - part one touch the 4 corners and the center is fine, part two erase all the squares is OK +/-, but part 3 multi-touch - I'm supposed to touch 10 points but all I see on the screen is an aqua geometric grid-like design of crosses where some are bolder and then there is a layer of a dimmer design.  I don't see where I am supposed to touch.  Do they change color or something?  Maybe I'm not waiting long enough before I start pressing different places on the screen to see if anything happens?    I searched for some documentation on the test but no luck.  Can someone please tell me what I should be seeing.

As to test #2 I would have said that it was fine but when I ran it for the second time tonight, I realized that first run, the bottom row of boxes was only half (or less) the height of the other rows.  This is a secondary concern though.

I appreciate any assistance you can give me.

Hi Lori8258,

Thanks for posting.

It sounds like you have a combination of things going on here.  First of all, have you tried rebooting your Modem, Router, and Computer?  Sometimes resetting these will clear up the sluggishness you are describing.  You should also run Speedtest to see if you are getting the correct internet speeds you're paying for.  Try those first to see if your internet loading time is reduced.  If not, then we might need to do some more troubleshooting.  Thanks.

Regards,
Robert
