Using a floppy disk drive module as external drive

Question

I recently replaced my 3 year old lattitude with a new one.  I need to access a floppy drive and got out the old floppy drive with the cable and tried to use it on my new lattitude.  I realized I probably don't have the proper driver and do not know where to get it.  When I use 'add hardware'  it is not picking up the device.   Any suggestions.   Thanks

Hi, If you are trying, you cant use a ' C ' series floppy with a ' D ' series computer. The ' D ' series external floppy was a USB connection, not the printer port.                                                                           Regards Chris
