Hi,

The Inspiron 1520 should be shipping with a 110V/230V adapter, check that this is the case before you go.

On top of that, you need a two or three pin (depending on which AC adapter you have) adapter to convert your plug to an italian configuration.

Italian sockets look like this:

I'm going to be going to Italy as well as Ireland and England. I have the multi adapter from Kensington, will I also need a surge protector with that? Or will the adapter on my laptop be good enough?

My adapter says 110-240 V ~ 1.5A(1.5A) 50-60 Hz

So does that mean that all I will need when using my computer in Italy is the appropriate plug adaptor for Italy? Also would it be advisable to get a surge protector?
