Vostro 1520 Webcam Does Not Work after Computer Restart

Hello, I hope you are well.

On my Dell Vostro 1520 laptop running Windows 7 Professional (32-bit), the Webcam does not work as soon as the computer is restarted. As a temporary fix, I can go to Device Manager > Imaging Devices > Laptop Integrated Webcam, and then uninstall it. After that, if I run Windows Update, I have the opportunity to download the Webcam driver again, and after that is downloaded and installed, the Webcam will work. However, once the computer is restarted once or twice, the Webcam will no longer work, and I will have to repeat this temporary fix again.

When I say that the Webcam does not work, I mean that when it is on (either through the Webcam Manager, or an instant messenger service like Google Chat or AIM), it is just a blank screen. The blue LED light near the Webcam does come on though.

Any thoughts? Thank you very much,
Vic

Same problem here.  I have gotten a blue screen crash due to a driver failure once or twice, too.  No idea if that is related or not.  Anybody else running into problems with the web cam?  Solutions?

Windows 7 x64 shows the Webcam correctly in the Device Manager with a driver from CREATIVE LABS but can't get the CAM to work.

Even the Dell Support just say i've to wait until a driver is released but i wait now over 3 months for such a driver - this sucks.
