Weird sound problem. (Studio 1749)

My Studio 1749 has recently developed a habit of occasionally making a strange buzzing/crackling sound (kind of hard to describe). I was wondering what caused it.

(Possibly unrelated, but previously I had a fairly serious issue where it would not boot up the OS at all, just sat there with a blinking cursor. Microsoft sent me a free Windows 7 disc, I put it in, clicked repair and something else (don't remember what) and it was all back to normal. The problem started soon after this, as well as the fact that my memory seems to be running low a lot.)

Hope someone can help.

You should run the Dell Diagnostics to test the hardware. Include the extended hard drive test (2 hours +) to see if the hard drive is failing. What do you mean by "memory running low" a lot? Hard Drive space running out, battery running low or the actual RAM memory failing? What errors are you getting about this? If you are still under warranty, contact Support for any hardware failures. The buzzing sound could be a problem with the speakers. If it's a clicking sound it could be the hard drive failing. Backup to an external drive using Windows Backup and Restore.

Well I have a program called Smart RAM which basically shows how much RAM is free (I think) but recently it's been frequently going a lot lower than it did before, even when few programs are running. I'm starting the Dell Diagnostics now, I think I ran one before but I may be mistaken.
