Run the Dell diagnostics on the keyboard (F12 at powerup, choose Diagnostics from menu). If the key fails, call Dell and they'll send a replacement keyboard.

could u please elaborate on what u mean by powerup?
this is the keyboard in my laptop, would dell send a replacement for the whole laptop?

Press the power button, then F12. A menu will appear - among the choices will be Diagnostics.
Keyboards are customer-replaceable - they will send you a keyboard.
