Hi,

The fingerprint reader can be downloaded from Dell’ support site if the software was preinstalled in the system at the time of purchase. Please follow the steps below to download the software:

       1. Goto Dell’s Support Website:  http://dell.to/9Bx54
       2. Click “My Account in the upper right corner and sign in with your Dell My Account in the popup box appears on the screen.
       3. Under the “My Software section on the right side of the page, click "Download Factory Installed Software (My Dell Downloads)".
       4. Click the checkbox that agrees to the “Terms and Conditions of the My Dell Downloads website and click “Register System at the bottom of the page.
       5. At the “My Download Locker” page, select your computer and download “Dell Fingerprint reader Software”.
       6. In the “Title section, look for “Dell Fingerprint reader Software”.
 
     7. Select the latest version number in the “Version column. Click the checkbox under the” Download column for this software, and at the bottom of the page click “Download now
  
    8. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. 
  
    9. Once the Dell Fingerprint reader Software is installed restart the computer.
 
    10. Once restarted check if it’s working.

Thankyou Priyanka S. However I am trying to download drivers onto USB via a Mac so I can install them from USB, and cannot get passed the "Register System" stage (perhaps it expects that I'll be connecting from the Latitude?). Please could you just tell me the name of the fingerprint driver(s)? I have downloaded all the ones relating to my service tag, but the list does not explain which ones to apply in which order etc, and the one relating to the fingerprint reader is not obviously labelled.

Hi,

Since you are getting error while registering the system on the Dell's website, I would request you to please provide me with your system Service Tag and the name under whom the system is registered in a private message, so that I can access your system records.

I am sending you a private message, please click on my name highlighted in blue. On the next page, click the envelope icon and provide the system Service Tag and contact information so I may access your system records.
