Hi Satasathish,

Welcome to Dell Community Forum.

The Inspiron N4010 has SynapticsTouchPad which incorporates multi-touch gestures which causes the touchpad to freeze at times. Disabling these features can fix this issue. Before you make changes to the touchpad settings I would suggest that you update the latest Synaptics driver from the link mentioned below.

Inspiron N 4010 Synaptics touchpad drivers: http://dell.to/13xFUxt

Please reply with the results.

Thanks and regards,

Hi Satasathish,

Thank you for your reply.

I hope you have updated the drivers for your touchpad successfully from the link mentioned in my previous post. The Control Panel needs to be accessed for changing touchpad settings. Please let me know the version of Windows you are using so that I may be able to help you better.

Thanks and regards,
