lcd issues error code 2000-0334
i hsve been having issues with my nvidia graphics card intermittently stop working, which i never addressed. i recently cracked my lcd and replaced it. this is when things really got interesting. i power up my laptop and i see everything just fine. but once windows begins to launch the screen goes blank (not black as in no power but blank with power still going to the screen). this it's intermittent as well but happens 99% of the time whether powered by ac adapter or battery. i uninstalled the new lcd screen and reinstalled the cracked screen and it works normally. so i exchange the new screen and the replacement works fine for one day...then it happens again.
new screen works in safe mode
i did notice that the we're 2 drivers installed for the display, Intel hd driver & nvidia graphics...when i ran the diagnostics according to the video lcd issues when i followed the instructions and pressed "n" for no during the psa test, i received the error code 2000-0334 but the message prior to that identified that the user said it wanst working properly....probably because i selected "n"
please help...I'm stumped

Hi szamparelli,
As you mentioned this error code came up because you selected 'N' where you are trying to deliberately fail the test. I request you to run a test on the display. This test will help in diagnosing if the issue is with the LCD panel or with the controller. If the colors are displayed across the screen without a problem then the issue lies outside of the LCD.
To test the display shut the system down, next press and hold the letter ‘D’ on the keyboard and press the power button. This will initiate diagnostics on the display.
Check the status of the display and please revert. Also provide the system model.

hi sajatha k,
thanks for the quick response. i selected "n" simply because the instructions instructed to do so. i attempted holding the "d" key and nothing happened.. the model is vostro 3700.

Attach an external monitor - does it display the same fault, or a clear image?

Hi szamparelli,
Since there is good display on an External monitor, I suspect the issue is with the LCD panel. If the LCD is replaced by Dell send me a private message with the system service tag to assist you further. Click on my name and click Start Conversation to send me a private message.
If you purchased it outside Dell, contact the vendor for the same.
