hi i bought the dell n5110 today and i have turn it an and i have no sound coming out the left speaker at all have u fixed yours at if so how an please help me out
I didn't think Dell was still selling that model. If the tests fail you can re-install the audio driver, but what I would do is return it to the factory configuration -- using the restore partition that Dell puts on the hard drive. If the restore partition is missing then the laptop is not what I would consider new. After you restore the laptop it will be exactly like it was when if left the factory. If the left speaker still does not work then the restoration proves that the laptop is defective which should help you get a refund without any hassle.

it is brand new becos when i turned it on it said settin up your windows for the first time an took a good few mins to set an do stuff this is why i can under stand why its not working av bin look round installing an still no joy so i got 10 day till i can retune it so am gong to look around abit more an if would love it if you could keep helping me untill i have done with this laptop
Okay but it would be better if you started giving feedback. You have not said whether or not you tried the Dell hardware tests that I gave you a link to, or Microsoft Fixit, or whether you have re-install the audio driver, or if you have used the laptop's restoration partition.
Another thing I forgot to mention earlier is that you should listen through headphones or external speakers to test if the audio is coming through the left channel in the headphones.
ok sorry new to all this normal i just try an fix it me self lol but yes av tryed the stuff u said also yes my headphone work left an right works erm av not yet try the F12 methord yet

The laptop is used, isn't it? Run the Dell hardware tests. If you don't hear through the left speaker during the test then try to get your money back.
