7214 Rugged Touchpad Issue
I bought this machine used a few months ago. The only quirk I don't like is the touchpad. It seems that sometimes the cursor pauses or stalls so I have replaced the touchpad and reinstalled windows to rule out hardware and software issues. I have also ran the latest windows updates since the touchpad driver is not available from the website (for windows 10).
In this video I load up the windows 7 install wizard and begin by showing that my fingers are clean. As you can see, depending on how I touch it, it will not register. This is with a brand new touchpad and in an isolated environment. Is this just how the resistive rugged touchpads are? It seems that too much contact and too little pressure both cause no input to be received.

Welcome to the Dell Community @msfesfeiu
When doing updates in W10 make sure to look at the "Optional Updates"
Then try to adjust the touchpad sensitivity.
Best regards and good luck,
