Bluetooth in-operable on Latitude 3540 ? Can't find any devices...
Hi,
Have had this issue for a long time...
I downloaded the EXE-file: "Network_Driver_9T8XY_WN32_10.0.0.309_A03.EXE" today from Dell support.
I extracted the whole archive, and updated the Bluetooth-driver in DeviceManager, and the previous MS-driver is not replaced by a new drive for Bluetooth Radios entitled "Dell WIreless 1705 Bluetooth".
Under Details, it says: "Qualcomm Atheros Communications" + "2015-01-29" + "8.0.1.340"...
Still, when I go to "Bluetooth Devices" / "Add Device", it starts a search but cannot find any BT-devices, though both several Android-phones are in discoverable mode, and a BT-enabled speaker pairs fine with cell-phones.
ALSO, vice-versa, though I have checked "Discovery: Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer" -- this Dell Latitude is never found, neither by name, nor by the MAC-address (which I find via "getmac /v"...) !
What else can I do to "enable" Bluetooth & discover or be found & ultimately pair this laptop to other devices ??
Cheers.

TYPO: "is not replaced by" should naturally be "is NOW replaced by"
